The Gospel of Mark
St. Mark is traditionally credited with writing the second Gospel. His account tells of the teachings, miracles, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
St. Mark, also known as John Mark, was among the earliest followers and preachers of Jesus Christ. He is traditionally recognized as the author of the Gospel according to Mark, the second book of the New Testament.
He worked alongside early Christian leaders, including Saints Peter, Paul and Barnabas. Orthodox tradition remembers him as a missionary who brought the Christian faith to Egypt and helped establish the Church in Alexandria.
Our congregation bears his name as a reminder to share our faith with humility, love and service.
